Providing Feedback to Students/Participants

Providing feedback is an important part of instruction and learning. Feedback gives students a measure of their comprehension or performance, indicating how well they are doing or what areas need more work or attention. This is typically done through grades and/or comments. In terms of instruction, grades can point out areas in the course where adjustements may need to be made.

Though some tools in Laulima have grading features, like Assignments or the testing tools, there are two tools available which solely display and manage grades: “Gradebook” and “Post’Em.” With these tools, students are only able to see their own grades. Each functions differently and has its own benefits in terms of grade management, but both serve the same purpose of displaying grades. To get started with using the Gradebook or Post’Em tool, click on the links to the left.
