Last month Washington Middle School welcomed SLS undergraduate advisor and coordinator Patrick Agullana to speak at its after school All-Star program! This was a great chance for Washington Middle School students to learn new things about languages and more about SLS.
While this was the first visit to Washington Middle School, there are plans for future visits and presentations as the students and staff members enjoyed themselves. The connection between the All-Stars program and the SLS Department could not have happened without the help of SLS students working as teaching assistants for the All-Stars program and the site coordinator of the All-Stars program, Hekili Kiliiiki.
