Visiting SLS

The Department of Second Language Studies Office is located on the fifth floor of Moore Hall at UH-Mānoa.

We welcome visitors and inquiries about our undergraduate and graduate programs. Prospective students are welcome to drop by to see who may be available; for appointments with specific individuals, please contact us one week in advance.

Directions by car:

Eastbound
Take H1 to the University Exit (Exit 24B). After exiting, stay in the far right lane heading north (mauka) on University Avenue and take a right at the first traffic light onto Dole Street. Then, take a left at the 3rd light onto East-West Road. There are various visitor parking areas off of East-West Road near Moore Hall with the largest behind Kennedy Theatre on your left and the closest being on the right next to the Center of Korean Studies.

Westbound
Take H1 to the University Exit (Exit 24B). After exiting, stay in the far right lane heading north (mauka) on University Avenue and take a right at the first traffic light onto Dole Street. Continue as above.

From Waikīkī
Take Ala Wai Boulevard, a one-way street traveling west (ʻewa). Make a right turn at McCully Street, then take the next right onto Kapiʻolani Boulevard. Take a left at University Avenue. Stay in the far right lane heading north on University Avenue. Take a right on Dole Street. Continue as above.

Directions by bus:

Routes serving the Mānoa campus include: 4, 6, 13, and 18, plus express routes A, 80A, 85, 85A, 90, and 94.
