Sponsored by the Ruth Crymes Memorial Fund, the Harry Whitten Prize for Scholarly Excellence is awarded to MA students in Second Language Studies who receive double-honors for their scholarly paper.
Recipients normally present their work at the SLS Thursday Lecture Series "Brown Bag" taking place in the last week of instruction of the semester in which they received the award. In addition, this work usually appears in the SLS Papers.
