775 Seminar in SL Research: Conversation Analysis

The seminar will serve as a forum for graduate students working on research from the perspectives of multimodal conversation analysis and cognate approaches such as ethnomethodology, membership categorization analysis, interactional linguistics, and discursive psychology. Based on a review of recent developments in these fields, the seminar will focus on theoretical and methodological issues that the participants have encountered (or anticipate) in the analysis of their data. Seminar activities will include a review of selected research literature, data sessions, and student-led sessions. Please contact instructor for further details.
