UHM NREM ArcGIS Site Licensing
The UH Manoa NREM department has purchased a departmental site license for ESRI ArcGIS software. If you are an active faculty, staff or student (students must list an NREM instructor/advisor), you may request for this software. The current licensing period runs until December 16, 2021.
OPTION 1: ArcGIS Pro w/AGOL Account (User Based)

- If approved, an ArcGIS Online or "AGOL" (https://www.arcgis.com) account invite will be sent via email to you. You have the option to create a new account or link an existing ESRI public account (free from ESRI).
- The ArcGIS Pro installation software can be downloaded from your AGOL account:
- Click on your account profile at the top right, click on My Settings
- In the left column, click on Licenses
- Scroll down to ArcGIS Pro and to the right, click on the Download link.
- After ArcGIS Pro has been installed on your computer, the software is licensed by signing in with your AGOL account username and password.
OPTION 2: ArcGIS Pro (Device Based) [For Single Users and Computer Labs]

- If approved, a license file will be sent to you as a separate email. At the end of the installation you will be prompted for this file to license the ArcGIS Desktop software. This is a device based software; (1) license file can be used for (1) designated computer only.
- The ArcGIS Pro installation software can be installed by a link provided to you by ITS.
OPTION 3: ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap)
NOTE: In 2024, ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap) will no longer be available through the Esri Site License Program.Please inquire with the NREM Administrators if you require this software.
HOW TO REQUEST FOR YOUR LICENSE:
- Determine what software you are in need of (see above).
Students: please contact your advisor or instructor for clarification on what is needed. - Submit your request by completing the following form:
NREM ArcGIS Access Sign Up - An NREM staff will first verify your affiliation with NREM and forward the request to the ITS Site License Office.
- Within 1-2 business days of receiving the request, the ITS Site License will send out the appropriate account information and licensing info if applicable.
