Linguistic Landscape Corpus of Pidgin in Hawaiʻi
About the Project
We invite you to contribute to our linguistic landscape corpus, showcasing Pidgin in Hawaiʻi. The goal of the project is to document the extent to which Pidgin is used in Hawaiʻi’s public space through geotagging. The Hi-Signs.net repository created at the Université du Luxembourg provides a space for researchers and the public to contribute and view linguistic landscaping data. Through our Pidgin in Public project on Lingscape, our goal is to create story maps to describe and explain the historical and social aspects of the linguistic landscape.
