One Additional Candidate Name Delivered to Governor Linda Lingle
The Regents Candidate Advisory Council (RCAC) selected Dr. Doris Ching to replace James J. Donovan III who withdrew as a candidate to represent Honolulu County on the UH Board of Regents. Dr. Ching's name has been submitted to the governor for consideration.

List of Potential Candidates Delivered to Governor
On Feb. 21, 2008, the Regents Candidate Advisory Council (RCAC) delivered to Governor Linda Lingle's office a list of candidates for the University of Hawaii Board of Regents (BOR). A list of 22 candidates was provided, from which 12 may be nominated by the governor for appointment to the BOR for seats to be filled effective July 1, 2008, with the consent of the Senate.
The total number of BOR members is 15. Members whose terms are continuing include BOR Chair Allan R. Landon and members James J. C. Haynes II and Ronald K. Migita. The candidates are listed below and in these documents:
