The poster highlighted work done by Sophia Kim-O’Sullivan, an M.A. student in Library
Sciences at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, over two semesters to arrange and describe some of the Department of Philosophy’s oldest and most fragile materials. Thanks to her meticulous application of best archival practices in tandem with efforts from the department chair and staff, these irreplaceable records of our intellectual history are now properly
housed in archival standard boxes with a plan for their ongoing preservation and security.
We hope this collection will serve generations of philosophers and researchers as they explore cross-cultural philosophies and our history of international academic exchange.
We celebrate Sophia’s outstanding contribution and extend our deepest gratitude for her dedication and care!
