EUTF Health Benefits
If you are going on an Authorized Leave Without Pay (LWOP) lasting more than 30 days, your options include:
- Canceling EUTF Coverage: You may complete EC-1 Health Benefits Enrollment Form and submit it to your designated HR Representative within 45 days from the date of the beginning of an LWOP.
- Continuing EUTF Coverage: You may continue coverage while on an LWOP by submitting premium payments directly to the EUTF.
- HR is to submit the completed L-1 Form – Authorized Leave of Absence Without Pay via Axway or fax. Provide a copy of the L-1 to the employee.
Refer to the EUTF reference guide for more information.
ERS Pension
Your pension service credit may be affected if you take 15 or more calendar days of LWOP in one month (14 days in February). Employees should refer to their respective retirement plan brochure for more information.

If eligible for sick and/or vacation, LWOP can reduce your monthly leave accruals. Employees should refer to their respective CBA for more information.
