Description:This screen record of the famous Kon Tiki expedition (April to August 1947) was assembled from film shot during the voyage by the six members of the expedition. After an introduction by Ben Grauer, Thor Heyerdahl explains the expedition's purpose -- to prove that the Polynesians could have come originally from Peru and not, as is generally believed, from the west.
