Der Rindenbast wird mit den BlŠttern des Awui-Baumes gekocht und dadurch rot gefŠrbt oder erhŠlt durch Einlegen in Schlamm eine schwarze Farbe.The bark of the mam tree (Hibiscus tileaceus) is peeled off the trunk and laid into water for a few days. After having dried the bark again, the bast is pulled off in stripes from the outer bark. Then, the bast is cooked together with leaves of the awui tree in order to become red; or it obtains a black colour by being put into mud. |
