Die Taro-Stecklinge werden vor dem Einsetzen rituell behandelt.Senemal, a man from the village of Banolbil, sets up a ritual taro garden on his planting area near the primary forest in order to cause the spirits to ensure a good taro harvest. After he has obtained dracaenas (Cordylinie) as ritual plants, Senemal sets a number of taro cuttings in his garden. Together with dracaenas and stones these become a composition that the spirits will like. The taro cuttings are ritually treated before being set. |
