Description: | Deep in uncharted New Guinea lives a tribe so isolated that ritual cannibalism may still be practiced. Called the Korowai, these elusive peoples have lived in the rainforest for thousands of years with virtually no contact with the outside world. They survive using the materials afforded by their surroundings and, incredibly, build tree houses perched up to 90 feet in the air without using nails or hardware. This reduced version of Lords of the Garden documents Paul Taylor's expedition to the Korowai of Irian Jaya. |
