| Description: | Ein Mann aus Meno baut einen kleinen Zeremonialtopf (Aumar) in Spiralwulsttechnik auf. Das GefŠ§ wird ohne Werkzeug von Hand ausgeformt. Nach einer kurzen Trocknungsphase an der prallen Sonne verziert der Tšpfer die ganze Au§enflŠche in Kerbschnittechnik. Zum Schlu§ wird der Topf zusammen mit weiteren TongefŠ§en im offenen Feuer gebrannt.Using the technique of coiling with foundation, a man constructs a small ceremonial vessel (aumar). The vessel is modelled by hand, without the use of tools. After the vessel has been dried briefly in the sun, the potter decorates its whole outer surface, employing the chip carving technique. Finally, this and other clay vessels are fired in the open fire. |
