Nearly 150 students statewide will have earned their certification training through the UH online program by May 2021.
The online certificate program offers part-time and full-time training opportunities with fall classes beginning on August 24.
By July 24, the University of Hawaiʻi-State Department of Health Contact Tracing Training Program will have trained nearly 450 qualified individuals.
The UH-DOH Contact Tracing Training Program has reopened registration for Track 1 to meet this need.
The first cohort for Track 2 consists of 31 participants taking the six-week intensive program.
The first cohort of trainees on will begin on Monday, June 8.
The one-year, $2.5 million program will leverage faculty expertise and existing courses across the UH System to quickly develop content for the contact tracing training.
