The administrative rules are an essential resource management tool for public and commercial activities on UH-managed lands on Maunakea.
If the request is approved, public hearings are expected to be planned for early June.
More than 200 students, faculty and staff from various Oʻahu-based UH campuses affirmed their commitment to protect Maunakea and their opposition to (TMT).

TMT must now submit construction plans to the DNLR Office of Conservation and Coastal Lands for review and approval.
