UH esports captures 1st international title, vote for program of the year

The iLab is open to UH Mānoa students, faculty and staff weekdays, 10:30 a.m.–6 p.m.
This visit came after UH Mānoa became the first higher education institution to host the Overwatch League in 2021 and 2022.
The public can vote for the team and Kauweloa on the Esports Awards website until November 30.
Eleven UH Mānoa esports team members and one student from UH West Oʻahu earned college credits serving as interns during the tournament.
Students played an exhibition match, which was televised live on ʻŌlelo Community Media.
UH Mānoa esports students will work directly with the Overwatch League to learn about the operations of these world-class events.
Students will attend monthly meetings virtually with other international participants throughout the spring semester.
Program leaders look forward to building on the success of the past year into the upcoming esports seasons.
The team went undefeated in bracket play at the Collegiate Valorant Fall Brawl and won the $2,500 top prize.
