October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and the Mānoa Advocate, PAU Violence program, UH Mānoa Women’s Center and Domestic Violence Action Center have partnered to hold events throughout the month.
UH students, faculty, administrators, regents and coaches helped to raise awareness on October 4 alongside hundreds of fellow community members in the 24th annual Men’s March Against Violence.
Jennifer Pagala Barnett, program coordinator for the UH Mānoa Women’s Center, is one of nine community members recognized by Governor David Ige for “embracing their voice” to prevent sexual violence during Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
