UH Mānoa earns highest national research designation

UH Mānoa far exceeded the minimum requirements, according to data from two national surveys.

Windward CC received the 2025 ACE/Fidelity Investments Institutional Transformation Award for boosting enrollment and completion rates.

LEED is the most widely used green-building rating system in the world and an international symbol of excellence.

These rankings are among the most recognized global assessments of academic and research excellence.

UH Hilo Botanical Garden received official accreditation from Botanic Gardens Conservation International.

In the Fiscal Year 2023 survey, UH Mānoa ranked No. 92 nationally, and excelled in ocean sciences, astronomy and Earth sciences.

The company also surveyed students attending the colleges about their “green” campus experiences.

This recognition positions UH’s flagship campus as the No. 63 ranked university in the United States.

All three campuses placed in the top 10 for ethnic diversity.

More than 54,000 students and alumni were surveyed online for the ranking between January and May 2024.
