All-PacWest honors for UH Hilo basketball players

Six UH Hilo men’s and women’s basketball players earned All-PacWest awards for the 2022–23 season.

The three student-athletes recognized were Erik Borg, Mandi Kawaha and Bree Olson.

The Vulcans defeated Holy Names University, 82-68, to claim a spot in the six-team postseason conference tournament.

The UH Mānoa men’s and women’s basketball teams both defeated UC Riverside by four points on January 21.

The junior guard’s performance in the holiday tournament earned McClanahan his first career Big West Player of the Week honor.

UH Hilo men’s basketball player Darren Williams shot a season-high 28 points against Hawaiʻi Pacific University on December 10.
