UH Hilo women’s basketball nationally recognized for academic excellence

WBCA acknowledges academic success for the Vulcan women’s basketball team.

Eight student-athletes were recognized for the 2022–23 season.

All-Big West honorable mentions Kallin Spiller and Daejah Phillips led the way for the Rainbow Wahine with 13 points each.

The victory marked the second consecutive season that the ‘Bows secured the Big West’s automatic berth into the Big Dance.

The student-athletes recognized are Lily Wahinekapu, Imani Perez, Kallin Spiller, Daejah Phillips, JoVon McClanahan, Noel Coleman and Kamaka Hepa.
