Tech jobs are in high demand more than ever. To connect high school and college students with information technology (IT) careers in local companies, the University of Hawaiʻi and the Chamber of Commerce Hawaii present Hawai‘i Tech Days of Spring 2024, February–April.

The Tech Days events are sponsored by local organizations that share a commitment to bolstering Hawai‘i's skilled IT workforce, addressing the rising demand for local jobs in high-growth sectors.

"We are deeply grateful to our industry partners, who provide opportunities for our amazing graduates to secure rewarding employment here in Hawaiʻi," said UH President David Lassner. "We are committed to collaborate with local employers in equipping our students with the skills they need to enter into and succeed in technology careers that enable them to prosper and contribute to Hawaiʻi."

Besides UH and the Chamber of Commerce Hawaiʻ, event partners include IT Sector Partnership, CIO Council of Hawaiʻi, Cyber Hawaiʻi, Hawaiʻi Defense Alliance, Thrive HI, the Pacific Asian Center for Entrepreneurship and the Association of Computing Machinery Student Chapter. Upcoming February events will be held in-person at UH Mānoa on February 9 and at UH West Oʻahu on February 21.

“Events like Tech Days of Spring are giving students impactful ways to connect with IT employers and prepare for future success in Hawai‘i’s technology workforce. Through the IT Sector Partnership, the IT industry is coming together to collaborate on workforce development efforts that build a local, skilled IT workforce,” said Sherry Menor-McNamara, president and CEO of Chamber of Commerce Hawaiʻi. “We hope Hawai‘i’s young people take full advantage of these events where they can interact with tech professionals, explore diverse career options, and match with potential employers.”

Students can view the full listing of events and register for them on the Hawai‘i Tech Days of Spring 2024 website. Interested employers may also register for career fairs.
