Prospective students can receive help enrolling for fall 2018 at Hawaiʻi Community College and also enter to win a tuition award at Express Admissions Day and Registration Dash on Wednesday, July 18, 9 a.m.–3 p.m. The event will be held in Kaneikeao (Bldg. 379, Room 1) at the Manono campus in Hilo.

The deadline to apply for fall 2018 is August 1; classes start August 20.

Attendees of Express Admissions Day can:

  • Complete an application.
  • Receive their MyUH student number.
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and learn about financial aid.
  • Schedule academic advising, orientation and placement testing.
  • Receive help with registration.
  • Have their questions answered by faculty and staff.

Prospective students should bring:

  • 2016 tax information
  • health clearance
  • high school transcripts

Hawaiʻi CC offers 26 academic majors that include career and technical programs that train students for specific careers and liberal arts and science programs that prepare students to transfer to four-year universities. The college has a campus in Hilo and a campus in Kona called Hawaiʻi Community College–Pālamanui.

To be entered into the drawing for the tuition award, applicants must attend Express Admissions Day; complete and/or schedule all enrollment steps at the event; and complete all enrollment steps and register for classes by the end of the business day on Friday, July 27. The tuition award will cover the cost of up to 12 credits for one semester.
