Kick off the new school year with the 2017 student-designed HI Pride t-shirt available at the University of Hawaiʻi Bookstore System. This year’s HI Pride T-Shirt Design Contest winner is UH Mānoa student Kathyrine Cabalar of ʻEwa Beach.

Cabalar received almost 500 votes for her design that depicts the Hawaiian island chain encircled by the sun’s reflection in the ocean. She said that her design symbolizes her pride in being a part of Hawaiʻi’s community in which nature and people are harmoniously connected.

More on the HI Pride design contest
