Statement from UH Mānoa Chancellor Robert Bley-Vroman
Aloha Everyone,
As a follow-up to my announcement in March, I would like to inform you all that the official start date for a Smoke-Free Campus will be moved to fall 2015 to kick-start the new semester and accommodate implementation steps necessary for a smooth transition. The university remains committed to promoting the health and well-being of the campus community.
The Smoke-Free Campus website will continue to provide the campus community with updated information and resources. I encourage everyone to visit the website for helpful information on cessation resources, frequently asked questions, and tools/tips to quit smoking. Educational materials and smoke-free promotional resources will also be made available on the website for use by campus units in the coming weeks.
Let’s all take an active role in promoting a healthy lifestyle and providing a safe and healthy learning and working environment for everyone on our campus.
Mahalo,
Robert Bley-Vroman
Chancellor
