Kay Fujimoto Ono, professor of business technology at Leeward Community College and president of the Hawaiʻi Business Education Association (HBEA), was nominated president-elect for the Western Business Education Association (WBEA). Ono will be president when the WBEA Conference is hosted by HBEA at the Waikīkī Beach Marriott Resort and Spa in February 2016.

At the WBEA February conference, Kauaʻi Community College Business Education Instructor Cheryl Fujii was honored with an award for excellence in publications. The award recognized her work as the HBEA newsletter editor on the hbea.org quarterly publication. This is the second year that Fujii received this award.
