The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa quarterback Brayden Schager has been named to the 12th annual Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award watch list, marking his sixth preseason watch list appearance in 2024.

The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award honors the nation’s top offensive player from Texas or plays at a Texas four-year college, recognizing characteristics that define Earl Campbell: integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, drive, community and tenacity. The year’s watch list includes 93 players from 10 conferences and two independents, who represent 31 different states and 76 schools. Schager is from Dallas.

The list will be narrowed to 16 semifinalists in November and to five finalists in December. Finalists will be invited to Tyler, Texas for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Banquet on January 22.

Schager was also named to the watch list last season. The quarterback also appears on the watch list of the Maxwell Award, Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, The Manning Award, AFCA Good Works Team and Wuerffel Trophy.
