The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo men’s golf team was named a Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) All-Academic Team for its outstanding academic achievements for the 2023–24 school year.
The Vulcans were named a GCAA All-Academic Team as one of 25 NCAA Division II squads and 137 overall collegiate teams to attain a combined grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The back-to-back Pacific West Conference Champions were one of just two teams from the conference to earn academic accolades.
Nicholas Gomez, Junsu Im, Jordan Sato and Jacob Torres were also previously named Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars for averaging round scores under 78.0 while achieving at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA.
