The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa men’s volleyball team was picked No. 1 in the March 11 AVCA/NVA Top 20 poll. The Warriors stand at the top spot for the first time this season after winning three matches in the OUTRIGGER Invitational over the weekend, beating last week’s No. 1 Grand Canyon University, No. 14 Lewis and No. 5 UC Irvine in the tournament final.

The Rainbow Warriors (17-1) jumped two spots from No. 3 last week and received 15 of the 23 first place votes. Long Beach State (LBSU) received the other eight first place votes and remained at No. 2. UH and LBSU face off this week in Long Beach, California, for a two-match conference series.
