Tait-Jones named PacWest Player of the Week

University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo men’s basketball player Aniwaniwa Tait-Jones was named PacWest Player of the week, November 14–20.

Tait-Jones had a strong game last week to help UH Hilo claim a 87-82 overtime win against University of Alaska Anchorage on November 14. The sophomore had 28 points and 13 rebounds against Alaska Anchorage, along with three assists, a steal and a blocked shot. He drilled 16-of-21 free throw opportunities, including 4-for-4 marksmanship in overtime after the Vulcans built a small lead.

Previously, Tait-Jones was named PacWest Newcomer and Freshman of the Year.
