While competition has been limited this season for the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa swim and dive team, their efforts in the classroom are being recognized. UH was selected by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as a Scholar All-America Team.
Both the men’s and women’s teams were represented—the Rainbow Warriors posted a GPA of 3.2 and the Rainbow Wahine set a mark of 3.28. In total, 728 teams from 450 colleges and universities earned the honor.
“Coach (Marcus) Guttmann was a great hire this year,” said CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart. “It’s another example of why these 55 men and women are some of the best ambassadors that Hawaii and the MPSF (Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) could ask for.”
