This email was sent to all employees of the University of Hawaiʻi, 10-campus system on August 5, 2021.

Aloha UH employees,

The fall semester is starting soon and there will be more people on our campuses. Please remember that all offices are expected to be open and suitably staffed to handle standard on-campus operations, including answering phone calls and responding to in-person requests. While the COVID-19 Telework Policy remains in effect, managers and supervisors must ensure all campus offices are open and properly staffed in accordance with the current interim COVID-19 Guidelines.

Additionally, as questions have arisen: All University employees must work within the State of Hawaiʻi, except during approved out-of-state travel. Any requests to work outside the state must be approved by a University Officer, after consultation with the Office of General Counsel.

We look forward to welcoming back our students, faculty and staff in a safe and productive manner.
