A sneak peek at the next episode of Sam Choy’s In The Kitchen featuring surfer Kelly Slater.

Local T.V. shows Mixed Plate Minute with Pamela Young and Sam Choy’s In the Kitchen feature the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa’s College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources (CTAHR) staff and their aesthetically pleasing ingredients.

For an entire season, Chef Sam Choy invited himself into families’ homes all over Hawaiʻi to cook dishes with their leftovers while incorporating ingredients produced by CTAHR to save the meal.

Host Pamela Young also interviewed CTAHR’s Ted Radovich, Jari Sugano and others for segments within Sam Choy’s show.

KHON staff, host families and the shows extend their thanks to the CTAHR ʻohana for helping in the success of the shows.

CTAHR’s newsletter says, “Much work went into the planning, coordination, planting, and harvesting to ensure that Sam always had the freshest, most aesthetically pleasing ingredients—as KHON staff and the host families will attest.”
