Five University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa men’s volleyball players were named to the Big West All-Conference Team as selected by the league’s six head coaches.
Setter Tread Rosenthal, outside hitter Adrien Roure and opposite Kristian Titriyski were selected to the first team, while libero ʻEleu Choy and middle blocker Kurt Nusterer received honorable mention honors. In addition, Roure and Titriyski were picked for the all-freshman team.
Rosenthal earned his second first-team honor, while Nusterer added honorable mention accolades to his all-freshman team recognition in 2023.
Rosenthal leads the Big West and ranks fourth nationally in assists per set (10.69) while directing the No. 7 offense in the nation (.343). The Rainbow Warriors also lead the country in kills per set (13.29). He earned two Big West Offensive Player of the Week awards and was named Freshman of the Week four times. In addition, he became the third UH freshman to win AVCA National Player of the Week honors after helping the Warriors to a two-match series sweep of UC Irvine.
Roure is averaging 3.10 kills per set, hitting at a .328 clip. He also averages 1.44 digs per set and has 28 service aces. He leads the team with 18 matches of 10+ kills and averages 4.30 kills per set, hitting .507 during the OUTRIGGER Invitational, which earned him all-tournament team honors.
Nusterer has started 28 matches during his final season for the Rainbow Warriors. He sports a career-best 1.24 kills per set average this season and ranks No. 4 in the conference in blocks per set (1.03). Choy is the only Rainbow Warrior to start all 29 matches this season and play in all 106 sets. He has 1.71 digs per set average and has twice been named Big West Defensive Player of the Week this season.
The individual awards for Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year and Coach of the Year will be announced next week.
