University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa attacker Bernadette Doyle has been named the Big West women’s water polo Player of the Week for the second time this season on March 19, after helping the Rainbow Wahine pull out a dramatic conference win over Long Beach State on March 15.

Doyle scored a hat trick and the game-winning goal in overtime during Hawaiʻi’s 9-8 win over the Beach at Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex. This honor makes her the third UH player to win it this season.

She broke a 3-3 tie with her first goal, then contributed a steal and score in the first overtime. Doyle sealed the win with a golden goal just 25 seconds into sudden death. She finished with three goals on five shots, an assist, three exclusions drawn, a steal and two field blocks.
