University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo baseball player Logan Groff was named Pacific West Conference Co-Pitcher of the Week after tossing a 7-inning one-hitter with seven strikeouts and no runs allowed against Jessup University on February 28.
It was his first win of the season in leading the Vulcans to their lone win of the weekend series with the Warriors.
Groff walked just one batter and took a no-hitter into the sixth inning before surrendering a base hit down the left-field line. The right-hander also overcame two defensive errors in the third and fourth innings.
The Vulcans were victorious, 3-1, in the opening game of their four-game series with the Warriors.
