University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa men’s volleyball players Adrien Roure and Tread Rosenthal were both honored with Big West Player of the Week awards after UH‘s season-opening sweep of McKendree.
Roure, an outside hitter, was named Offensive Player and Freshman of the Week. He averaged 4.29 kills per set on .404 hitting, with highlights including 17 kills, five digs, and two aces in the January 3 win and 13 kills on .478 hitting in the January 5 sweep.
Sophomore setter Rosenthal earned the conference’s inaugural Setter of the Week award, averaging 13.43 assists per set and leading UH to a .406 team hitting percentage. He tallied 54 assists in the opener and 40 in the rematch, adding digs, kills, and blocks across both matches.
The No. 4 Rainbow Warriors host Harvard in a pair of matches, January 8 and 10.
