
University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo women’s soccer players Alyssa Padron and Teani Arakawa earned spots on the United Soccer Coaches Division II All-West Region First Team and the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-West Region First Team.
Of the Vulcans’ eight All-PacWest Team selections, Arakawa and Padron were the only two named to the First Team. Padron finished No. 11 in the West Region with 21 points, while Arakawa finished as the region’s leader.
Arakawa achieved her third career selection to the All-West Region Team, and her second consecutive year being named to the First Team. Arakawa was also previously selected as both back-to-back D2 Conference Commissioners Association All-West Region Player of the Year and Pacific West Conference Player of the Year.
Both athletes demonstrated excellence in the classroom and on the field, exceeding the minimum 3.40 GPA requirement for the Scholar All-Region Teams.
