Group of girls with tinsel leiMore than 500 attendees enjoyed an evening filled with festive music, delicious food, local crafts and family-friendly activities at the University of Hawaiʻi Maui College Holiday Bash.

Disney themed golf cartThe highlight of the night was the Electric Light Parade, featuring creatively decorated golf carts. Thomas Hussey from the Automotive Tech Department won first place with his “Have a Mickey Christmas” cart. The Chancellor’s Office, led by Joey Gonzales, secured second place with their “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” themed creation.

“The creativity and enthusiasm from our participants was truly inspiring,” said Chancellor Lui Hokoana. “This event brought our campus and community together to celebrate the holidays in a unique and memorable way.”

The evening included live music from local artists, including Homestead and the Kalama Intermediate Ukulele Band. Attendees explored the Keiki Zone with games and prizes, a classic car show, and a “makers space” with handcrafted gifts.

The event showcased UH Maui College programs, including the Maui Food Innovation Center, and highlighted esports teams competing in an international tournament hosted by the college.
