Six athletes of the Big West regular season champion University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa women’s soccer team earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors on November 19 for their outstanding efforts in the classroom and on the field.
Izzy Ayala, Eve Bleam, Amber Gilbert, Jacey Jicha, Tatum Porter and Cate Sheahan each took home the honor, which recognizes student-athletes who hold a GPA of at least 3.5 and contribute significantly to their team on the field.
This marks the third consecutive season that UH has had a maximum of six student-athletes earn academic all-district honors while Gilbert, Jicha and Sheahan each claimed the honor for the second straight year.
