University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa women’s volleyball outside hitter Caylen Alexander earned her fourth straight Big West Offensive Player of the Week award on November 11 and broke a conference record with her seventh honor this season.
Alexander averaged 6.33 kills per set with a total of 57, and posted a .301 hitting percentage over UH’s two-match road trip and surpassed the Big West’s previous single-season record of six Offensive Player of the Week awards.
Alexander is the first UH player since 2012 to have two 30+ kill games in a season and ranks second in the country with 514 total kills, 5.35 kills per set, 564 total points and ranks third with 5.88 points per set. She leads the Big West in each of those categories.
The Rainbow Wahine (16-8, 10-4 Big West) return home to host Long Beach State on November 15 and UC San Diego on November 16 for their final homestand of the season. First serve for both matches is at 7 p.m. at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center, and UH will honor its seniors following the match against the Tritons.
