University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa defender Lauleʻa Ah Mook Sang earned the final Big West Freshman of the Week recognition of the season on November 1 after helping lead the Rainbow Wahine to a shutout of Long Beach State in the regular season finale.
Ah Mook Sang played all 90 minutes on a UH back line that kept The Beach off the board in a 1-0 victory to close the regular season. She helped the ‘Bows post their sixth shutout of the season while holding an opponent scoreless in the second half for the eighth time in the last nine matches.
Ah Mook Sang made her second start of the season and played the entire match for the first time in her collegiate career.
The Rainbow Wahine are the only team in the conference this year to have multiple players earn freshman of the week honors.
Top-seeded UH will now host the Big West tournament semifinals and finals starting on November 7.
