University of Hawaiʻi at Manoa outside hitter Caylen Alexander picked up her fourth Big West women’s volleyball Offensive Player of the Week award on October 21, after posting 38 kills in the first two matches of a three-match road trip.

The junior averaged 6.33 kills per set against Cal Poly and UC Santa Barbara. Alexander opened the weekend by leading the Rainbow Wahine with 18 kills with just four errors in 41 attempts hitting .341 in UH‘s sweep at Cal Poly on October 18. She followed with a 20-kill performance at UC Santa Barbara on October 19, achieving the conference’s highest total in a three-set match this season. In the third set, she accounted for 10 of UH‘s 18 kills.

The match against UC Santa Barbara also marked the ninth time this season Alexander has put away at least 20 kills in a match. She’s the first UH player to post 20 kills in nine matches in a season since 2015.

Alexander raised her conference-leading averages to 5.10 kills per set and 5.58 points per set. She enters the week third in NCAA Division I in 362 total kills and kills per set. She’s fourth in 396.5 total points and fifth in points per set.
