Six members of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa football team—wide receivers Pofele Ashlock and Jonah Panoke, defensive lineman Ezra Evaimalo, and offensive linemen Luke Felix-Fualalo, Sergio Muasau, and Maurice Taʻala—were named to the 2024 Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award watch list.
The award is presented annually to the most outstanding college football player of Polynesian ancestry who epitomizes great ability and integrity. The watch list is composed of 96 players from 37 different Football Bowl Subdivision schools.
This year marks the fourth time that Panoke was named to the watch list, while Muasau was selected for the second straight year.
Five finalists will be unveiled on December 3, and the winner will be announced on December 17. The presentation of the award will be held during the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Week Celebration Dinner on January 18, and the winner will also be recognized during the Polynesian Bowl on January 17.
