Kapiʻolani Community College will host its highly anticipated professional development Summer Camp, set for August 5–8. Celebrating its fifth anniversary, the free, online-based learning experience is open to all P–20 educators statewide. There are also sessions that professionals working within education and the general public may attend.

The Kapiʻolani Summer Camp provides a range of sessions covering topics such as,

  • Instructional strategies
  • Cultural insights
  • Health and wellness
  • Personal growth

“Attending the conference extends beyond the sessions themselves, allowing for a community of learners to enhance their professional skills and personal growth,” said Kapiʻolani Summer Camp CoordinatorJamie Sickel, an instructional designer. “It’s a great opportunity to network with subject matter experts and colleagues from across Hawaiʻi and beyond.”

Anyone interested in attending is welcome to explore the 2024 Kapiʻolani Summer Camp program and register for the live online sessions, which are designed for active engagement and interaction. There will be no recordings or replays available.

Kapiʻolani Summer Camp has served more than 1,000 attendees since it launched in 2020, and has averaged about 300 participants in recent years.

“The conference is coordinated in such a fun and professional way,” said a participant from last year. “I love how engaged and supportive the participants are! They were eager to learn and engage with the content.”
