University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa women’s track and field athlete Tara Wyllie earned her first career Big West Field Athlete of the Week honor after winning the triple jump at the Hornet Invitational at Sacramento State University to open the outdoor season last weekend.
Wyllie began her outdoor season by posting the eighth-best triple jump mark in the country at 12.69m (41-7.75) on her fifth attempt. Her mark leads the Big West by a wide margin and ranks as the fourth-best in program history.
