The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa William S. Richardson School of Law has been recognized for its online program, practical training and environmental law specialization.
In preLaw magazine’s spring 2024 issue, the UH law school earned an A rating for its environmental law program and a B+ for its practical training, as well as high marks for its small class sizes for first-year students.
The UH law school’s online program, which launched in fall 2023, was also highlighted as one of the top in the nation.
“We are honored and excited that our programs consistently receive national recognition and attention,” said UH law school Dean Camille Nelson. “This is a testament to the dedication, expertise and excellence of our faculty, staff, students and law school community as a whole. We are committed to continuing to offer this high level of education for many more years to come.”
These new rankings add to the UH law school’s consistent top marks in recent years:
- No. 9 for Asian students, preLaw magazine 2024
- No. 26 for Hispanic students, preLaw magazine 2024
- No. 2 for most diverse faculty, Princeton Review 2023
- No. 4 for most chosen by older students, Princeton Review 2023
- A rating as one of the top law schools for environmental law, preLaw magazine 2023
- No. 8 for best schools for state and local clerkships, Princeton Review 2023
- No. 24 for part-time law programs, U.S. News and World Report 2023
