University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo women’s soccer junior forward Teani Arakawa has been named the 2023 Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (CCA) Women’s Soccer West Region Player of the Year.
The 2023 All-West Region Teams feature seven repeat honorees, including four first team selections, and a total of 12 institutions with at least one student-athlete named to the 13-member first or second team. UH Hilo led all programs with five selections, including a pair on the first Team.
Arakawa and Jazlynn Ellis were announced in the 2023 D2 CCA All-West Region First Team. Megan Donovan, Filippa Graneld and Alyssa Pardon were selected to the second team.
The D2 CCA Player of the Year award and all-region teams are nominated and selected by members of the region’s athletics communications staff. The 13 members of the All-West Region first team will now be placed on the national ballot for All-America consideration. The All-America teams will be released December 6.
