Milan Bukovics competing

University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa swimmer Milan Bukovics was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Swimming and Diving Male Athlete of the Week on October 18, following his performances at the season-opening USC Invitational on October 13–14 in Los Angeles.

Bukovics, a junior from Budapest, Hungary, turned in two NCAA Division-I Top-15 swims during the meet to earn his first MPSF weekly award. He won the 400 Individual Medley (IM) in a personal best 3 minutes, 50.69 seconds, the No. 10 fastest time in the nation this season and the third best in program history. Bukovics’ previous best in the event was 3:51.69 set in November 2022.

Bukovics also finished fourth in the 200 IM with a time of 1:47.76, which ranks No. 15in the country, and placed third in the 200 fly with a time of 1:47.44.
